I love this place. The food is sooo good 👍
Fabulous food at The Vine with service to match! Our server Michael went the extra mile. The kabob came with a side salad. When I told him I didn't like tomatoes he removed them before bringing out my meal. The cafe is large with a great outdoor area. The perfect spot to watch the diverse world of the South Grand neighborhood. Highly recommend!
I visited with two of my friends, everyone was satisfied with their meals. Waiter and service was good, but food was excellent. Sat outside on a nice evening so overall a very enjoyable experience.
Worst food ever . Dry meats and taste less. Drove from distance vary dissatisfying and disappointing. Trashed it and waste money and time. It is NOT AUTHENTIC FOOD.
I realized recently that I had never done a review of one of my most frequented restaurants on Grand. The food is yum and the servers are typically very pleasant and helpful. They eat the food so they can recommend good choices for you. The portions are huge and there's usually food to take home. The prices are reasonable and did I say how consistent everything tastes. I choice this place often over some of the other restaurants nearby.
Great Middle Eastern restaurant. The shawarma is absolutely amazing!
Let's start with what I liked: The lentil soup and Fatoush salad. These are both great and would recommend anyone who stops by to try them. I've not been able to find an entree I could recommend yet, and their falafel (of which I generally LOVE) get a definite pass from me. The falafel have a nice crunch, but that's about it; they just are not very flavorful. On my most recent visit, I also tried The Vine Kabob, and it also left me wanting.I've been to The Vine a handful of times now and I really want to love it. The staff are always super friendly and your glass never runs empty, but every time I eat there I leave thinking of other places that do what they do better. I've not given up and am sure I will return sometime in the future to try more and hopefully find what I'm looking for!
Outstanding, authentic, delicious Mediterranean cuisine with customer service to match. They not only filled a last minute catering order for us, but were able to blow everyone away with the quality and taste of the food. Prices were so reasonable. We will be dining in at the Vine more often and utilizing their catering in the future! 10/10 recommend.
Sujok is what I had. This was my first time trying this type of food. It was pretty good but a little dry. The fries are homemade and good. The service was excellent.
Nice food and good service
Friday 09/13/19 Lunch Our party of 5 first sat outside but decided to go back in. They were quick to accommodate us and didn’t make a fuss. Water was brought out immediately. Our waiter was knowledgeable of the menu and the food was brought out in a timely manner. The quality of the food was spectacular! The place may not look fancy, but don’t be fooled, the place was delicious! We will definitely be coming back.
Ordered carry out. Food was delicious (hence 2 stars). I pointed to a beef kebab sandwich ($7) and 3-piece Kibbeh ($3) on the menu. Since it was my 1st time (which I verbalized clearly), the waiter/cashier recommended instead that I order the dinner that came with a TINY salad and pita bread. My total was almost $25 - Double what I came in expecting to spend. When i questioned this, I was told, "But it's good, you'll like it," as the waiter/cashier laughed it up. Terrible experience.
My favorite middle eastern spot in the city... hands down... Lebanese nachos stupid fire great refreshing summer go to... winter deluxe hummus with shawarma and lentil soup... always a spicy beet juice and some tabouli... baklava... but there build your own sandwich and fries is a great grab and go...(more like a burrito) 100% halal( which means killed humanely) and bleed properly for your health.... great experience... not super fast...
My family and I usually dine in and love it, but recently I ordered carry out and they didn’t give us the bread that we ordered and forgot to give our hummus and we were charged an extra $7.50 even though we did not receive the hummus.
Been there once and would definitely go again . The portion size is pretty good so I recommend being careful while placing order. The taste is really good and love the falafal platter and other items there . They make fresh Juices and smoothies.
It just didn't impress me. The service was pretty bad. We had to get up on numerous occasions to ask for basic things like napkins, cutlery, etc. because our server didn't come back or stick around enough for us to ask at the table. The chicken and beef shawarma was dry. Another dish didn't come the way it was ordered. On top of all of that, it was pretty pricey. The fresh fruit juice was good and so was the hummus, but not enough to make me want to come back.
Got the falafel sandwich and fresh mango juice. I was impressed with the size for the price. Also.. Endless bread? Yes please! Great service and cozy atmosphere. Definitely will be visiting again.
This is a great place in an area filled with a bunch of great restaurants. It was our first time at The Vine Cafe but it certainly won't be the last. Great hummus. Really good Sujok sandwich (spicy ground beef and lamb). The deserts and juice bar looked great, but you can only have so much good stuff in one visit.
Hair = the quickest way to make my favorite restaurant my least favorite restaurant. Was a loyal customer of 7 years. It’s really gone downhill. Weren’t impressed with some menu changes a few years back and lately people are just rude. 4-5 people will be standing behind the counter just pretending not to look at me while I’m standing there waiting to pickup a togo order. Here’s a tip, help the customer before checking your phone. Good luck.
Cheap, amazing food. Giant portions. Not good service. Still worth visiting
First time to try middle eastern cuisine and this place was superb! The atmosphere is eclectic and staff were all very kind, helpful and courteous! We ordered Shawarma platter for group and it was delicious! Lots of side dishes came with! I will also never eat mass produced Baklava anymore. The pistachio baklava was recommended and exceeded expectations! Melt in your mouth goodness!
Consistently great food with lots of options and generous portions. Very affordable. The patio is also a nice addition with good weather.
Based on the reviews I have visited the restaurant however the restaurant doesn't match the expectations 1. First we asked for water with no ice and the person serving said she is not our server. Who say that for water2. We ordered 2 lunch which supposed to come with salad/soup. However we served only the entree without salad/soup. When asked server said it is because of rush. This is not the answer anyone expected3. The burger which is served was totally dry4. The water we received a large hair was stuck below the glass. The place needs deep cleaning5. Lastly I waited for 15 to 20 mins to get my card back. When checked at the register found that it was ready however they didn't given me back.Sorry to say the service was way bad and food was dry like prepared with hateHowever the Falafel was good
I can't even try their food. They won't answer the phone.
We got pickup from The Vine today and it was delicious! It was very reasonably priced as well. I would recommend it.
Would have to revisit here, in mid-nosh I got called away and even though I took the meal with me, reheated 6 hours later. It was good, very tasty. However, how good could it be fresh? Some of us just have to know.
Great ambiance, great staff. Service is always very attentive. Their menu selection was amazing. Highly recommend.
Great food great prices and great service. We always love the Hummus, Babaganoush, and Schwarma.
Usually we love to get food from The Vine. However on my visit today, not only were they allowing customers to come in without masks, the staff (including visible kitchen staff) were not wearing masks either.) We will not be ordering until the management improves their safety practices.
First time I've tried Battata Hara and it was excellent! Really recommend this restaurant, the staff is very friendly and and the food is delicious.
Yummy lentil soup. The cilantro on top was missing? Seems a small detail but it does add something to dish. The zatar on the chicken was missing as well. Again still very yummy. Service was good don't think our server might had not been having her best day. Love that rice!
The food great and it is a nice place where you can taste your home food, but the service not that much .when i made order and back home we figured we got not we want!!!! The problem how can you know what is inside your sandwich??!!!
Great Mediterranean food! I got the chicken shawarma and the side salad and it was really good. The food was fresh and super flavorful and the staff was very attentive and friendly!
Nice place to visit. Yummy Mediterranean food.Amazing service, plenty of parking in the area. The food was great I hadn't tried Lebanese food before. Try the lentil soup it was delicious.
I recommend ordering online in advance rather than showing up and ordering. You can still order there, but they seem to have less staff working and the restaurant is small so it is difficult to maintain social distancing. You can still eat outside, but indoor seating has been closed.
Lip smacking pallets of Lebanese Cuisines.Handsdown best Kebabs of St.Louis.
I came in to order takeout on a very low volume weekday evening and waited about 10-minutes to order. I made a request for a cup of water for the wait, which was promptly forgotten by the person who took my order. I then asked a server after awhile and, though very friendly, he gave me tap water instead of using the soda dispenser's secondary water dispenser, which is typically filtered. But, hey, if history's any indicator, at least I probably won't get food poisoning.
They aren't open yet for dine in but we stopped by for some fabulous take out including lovely fresh squeezed juice and shawarma. Will be back again to enjoy their large patio.
The Vine is a staple in our household—we crave it constantly. It’s healthy quality food for a really reasonable price. Vegetarian pro tip: try the fried veggie entree, mix in the side of tabouli and get 4 piece falafel. Two heaping meals worth of super flavorful food for ~$15!
OMG the food is so good. Eat here now.
Very tasty food selection that seems authentic. The staff was nice and cuisine was delicious. If you’re afraid of trying something new, this place is a great restaurant to experience a new kind of meal. Definitely worth coming back. The space is a bit small, but the food is so worth it.
Excellent vegetarian options, must try their lentil soup, and some of best fries in STL!
This is a go to place for light Mediterranean fare… And the mint lemonade is incredibly refreshing! Smoothies are incredibly fresh… Everything is fresh and you can taste it. Consistent quality.
Recrived a wrong order. With food cold already.
Food was AMAZING and very healthy! A lot of vegetarian/vegan options! Portion sizes are enough to share with the table! Definitely returning!
I've been coming here since they were just a little hummus stand and a market, and it's been incredible to see this location become a full-fledged restaurant. The stand-out option (for me) is always a falafel sandwich. Lots of seating available, and it's great to sit outside in warmer weather. Wonderful place to catch up with friends or go on a casual date. Try the Mediterranean fries- they're worth it! Service can sometimes be uneven, but try to visit at a slower time.
Nice people, good food. Cant wait for my next visit.
Lebanese inspired restaurant and market. Market portion is pretty small, but I assume has tough items to find at other grocers. Ton of hookahs for sale...I can't remember the name of what I got, but it was a a tradition Lebanese kebab over a ton of rice. I really enjoyed it. We also got the hummus and chowed it down fast, it was a very generous portion with just enough pita.Venue is spacious but a little gritty. Very diverse environment. Service was friendly, but not prompt. We would go back again.Parking is all off-street.
Absolutely wonderful place with amazing staff, friendly people, and a chill atmosphere. The food prices are extremely affordable and reasonable. Not to mention, delicious!!
